Yesterday I met a young student, that came from the USA, in the Palace Museum. It was first time that I had met a foreigner, so I went to greet him with English. He told me that he was a college student traveling in China and he likes China very much. I offered to show him around to the museum. He was impressing by the Chinese culture and busy taking photo all the time. He said he hadn’t seen such beauty buildings before. After that, we went boating and had a good time together. I was very glad to having the chance to share our culture with a foreigner and practice his spoken English as well.

I had a interesting dream last night. I dreamed that I took part in a race. At first, I could not run very fast and fall behind. So I didn’t lose heart and kept running. All the students on the playground cheer me on, “Come on!” I was so encouraged that I ran faster and fast till I caught up all the other runners. I felt as if flying like a superman. Last Saturday, I went to watch the final of the 4×100-metre relay race in our stadium, where I visited for the first time. The experience left a deep impression to me. I had never been imagined that the atmosphere could be so intense. Everyone went wildly when the runners set off! We all stood up and started cheering and shouting. Held their sticks tightly, the runners ran as fast as they could. The race was over in just one and a half minute. It was Li Chong that first crossed finish line. Many people were on his feet, cheering. It was such wonderful to watch the excited event.

I am fond the summer holiday. Last summer, I go to Hawaii for my holiday. I often had a walk along the beach after the supper or had a swim in the afternoon. Growing up, I was lucky to have parents which taught me lessons by how they lived each day. I remember walking to a nursing home with my father on one Saturday. When we arrive there, I asked him for money for the collection box. My father reached into her pocket and handed me a coin. I was embarrassing by the amount of money he gave me so I asked him for more. In reply, he taught me an valuable lesson: What is importance is the reason for giving, not how many money you give.
