1 . Information about summer term
Term charges due: Certain charges (student health fee, facility fee, program charges) apply to the entire summer term. These charges are due prior to the start of the term, regardless of which session you enroll in.
Last day to drop session courses (100% refund): Last day to drop session courses that have been paid for, with a 100% refund and without receiving a “W” on transcript.
Offset: During the late payment period for a course, you may drop a course and add another of equal credits and offset the fees providing:
1) Both courses have the same late payment period.
2) You inform the Summer Term Office of your request to offset fees before the end of the late payment period for the course.
Note: Online registration will not automatically offset fees. You must inform the Summer Term Office.
Administrative drop for non-payment: Students who have not paid fees due, starting on this date, maybe administratively withdrawn but still owe 50% of fees.
Academic drop (0% refund): From this date on, a student who has registered for a course may drop the course online and receive no grade if 60% of the course is not completed. No refund will be received.

2 . If you’re a photographer, we’d love to have you join this nonprofit photography workshop in Africa! Our photography volunteer program is a unique opportunity to sharpen your skills and learn about the work of nonprofit organizations. You just need a good camera, basic photography skills, and an interest in giving back through photography.
●Program schedule
Your program will begin with a workshop taught by photographer Anna Lusty. The first week will be focused on how to prepare for shoots and how to best capture (捕捉) the projects in a way that will help raise awareness of their cause, etc. Half days will be spent on theory, and during the other half, we’ll visit a nonprofit organization to put skills into practice.
From the second week, you’ll start your tasks. Each week, you’ll be sent to an organization of your choice. This can include different areas, such as education, animal welfare, sports, and more. You’ll spend your time understanding the projects, and record their work with your camera. At the end of the week, there will be time for post-production, and you can donate a selection of your images to the organization.

Rez Dogs, by Joseph Bruchac is a book written in verse (诗). It’s about an eighth-grader named MalianShe’s visiting her grandparents at their home on a Wabanaki reservation when COVID-19 hits. During lockdown, Malian learns more from her grandparents about her Native family’s history.
Omar Rising
Omar Rising, by Aisha Saeed tells the story of the son of a servant in Pakistan. Omar is excited that he has won a scholarship (奖学金) to a boarding school. But when he gets there he discovers that his scholarship is offered with special conditions. To stay at the school, Omar must do chores (杂活) and get better grades than the wealthy students. And he’s not allowed to join clubs or teams. When his future at the school does seem bright, he and his friends work hard to create fairness for all.
The Ice Cream Machine
The Ice Cream Machine is no common book. It’s six different stories rolled into one book. Each story has a very different plot (情节) about ice cream. One ice-cream story is about a boy and his robot in the distant future. Another is about a father and daughter who invent an ice-cream machine. The Ice Cream Machine is inventive and fun. Its author,Adam Rubin, hopes the book encourages kids to write.
Sugar and Spite
Sugar and Spite, by Gail D.Villanueva, finds 12-year-old Jolina newly arrived on an island in the Philippines. It’s there that she learns how to make magic. Jolina uses that magic to get a bully (仗势欺人者) named Claudine off her back. Filipino history and culture are shown in the book. Villanueva said that kids should read about places and cultures different from their own.
