I fell in love flower gardening after a school assignment. To me, it is not only relaxing but also educationally. I had experienced lots of successes and failures in growing flowers, making me realize failure is a normal part of life that lead to improvement and success. When I’m in low spirit, I often go to see how is going on in the pots. Watch things grow makes me feel at peace. He also reminds me that life is not a race but the most precious moment is now. Besides, I usually listen to books while are tending to my plants, killing two birds with one stone.

Last week, a group of international students paid visit to our school to learn about our tea-drinking culture. They were taken to the tea room in our school which I introduced the history of tea making and different kind of tea. Then I showed them what to make tea. I sat at a table, explaining every step of the process while make tea. All of them were amazing and couldn’t wait to have a try. Soon the tea room became live with everyone trying to make our own tea. We had a lot of fun, practicing but enjoying the tea.

In the end, we took in a group photo to record this unforgettable experience.

When I began to learn German, it was struggle. The words feel strange on my tongue and the grammars wouldn’t stay in my head. I wanted to give up, but my mum told myself learning a language wasn’t just for my future. It was exercise for my brain. The more I learned a language, so the more my brain would grow. I remember that day when I suddenly felt like German was really no long a foreign language. I had finally come to a place where I could think in this foreign language but see the world from a differently point of view. I felt as if I had reached the goal I had been fighting with. I finally understood why my mum has encouraged me not to give up.

Nowadays, people argue a lot about if or not to celebrate Western festivals, as Western festivals are becoming more and more popular in China, especial among young people. They said they celebrate Western festivals because they are exciting than Chinese festivals. In my opinion, Western festivals are basing on the cultural traditions of the Western country, and I see no reason why we should celebrate their festivals. We are Chinese, and we mustn’t forget our cultural roots. In fact, Chinese cultural traditions are really great, but we should take pride in it. On a word, I am prefer Chinese festivals.

The summer holiday is coming, that makes me excited. I have been looking forward to relax myself. I’d like to go swimming, climb mountains and saw several movies. I can play the basketball with my classmates. How a wonderful time I’ll have during the summer holiday! However, my parents think different. They don’t want me go out. They are afraid I’ll be knocked down by a truck, fall off a tree, or fight about others. Besides, they are worried that I may lose my ways. I really hate being treated like a bird kept in a cage. To get more freedom, I will try to persuade him.

Last Sunday our school organized mountain climbing activity, whose purpose was to inspire us students to taking more outdoor exercise. Hundreds of students took part in it. Having gathered at the Xiangshan Park at 8：00, they set out for the top in high spirits. Along the way we enjoy the beautiful scenery, chatting with each other happy. If some people fell behind, others would come and lent them a hand, such as carrying their bags or making them feel encouraging. After about two and a half hour, we all reached the top, where we jumped and cheered with joy. The activity benefited to us a lot. Not only did we get some exercise, and also we promoted the friendship.

It was about 6 o'clock in the afternoon while I was walking along the road, heading home from school. The wind blew very hard that, all of a sudden, an advertising board by the roadside blown down to the ground. Before realizing that had happened, I was knocked down by the board. I feel great pain in my legs and could not move. At that moment, a man who ran up to help me. Seen I was badly hurt, he drove me to the hospital immediately. Before calling my parents, the man left without leaving my name and address. What I remember is that he is a middle-aged man. I want to find the man and express my thank.

On Women’s Day, my father and I planned to give my mother surprise. We did something specially for her. Know that she was always unwilling to buy herself anything, we decided to buy him a perfect gift. In the shop, the shop assistant introduced a beautiful necklace, what I thought was the very thing for my mother. However, we bought it without hesitations. The moment we take out the necklace, my mother was very surprised that she could not say a word. This is my great pleasure that my mother likes the gift. I hope my mother will be happy and healthy forever.
