Last week, I take part in the Cultural Exchange Week but enjoyed myself in England. I visited the city museum and several place of interest, which made me have better understanding of the English society, culture and history.
What’s more, I was luckily enough to meet my pen friend Tom there. I stayed at his home. And I’ll never forget the days when we spent together. When I left England, he offered to me a dictionary as a gift. It’s of great help for me to learning English. I will make full use of them and learn English well.
I hope Tom will come to China when it’s convenience for him!

My schedule is tight than ever because I'm in a final year of high school. However, I still manage to do what I can help my parents with the housework. I've gotten into the habit of washing dishes after dinner when I turned ninth. I also do thing like washing and folding clothes. I even begin to cook for my family last month.
I find that doing housework with my parents is extreme fun and rewarding. We can chat with and sometimes even sing together! Doing housework with them also let me learn to take responsibility at home and, in the long term, in society.

October 12th was big day for my team and me. We take part in a basketball tournament for senior students in Lancaster Country. Some players were absent because he had to take exams. What was worse, there were no substitutes. The team what we played against was last year’s top one. As a striker, I played hardly. Later, I had little energy than before and got injured because of I fell down. During the pause, the coach told us to “play with effort but wisdom”. Then, I saved my strength and looked for good chances to scoring more goals. Finally, I scored another four point and was named the “most valuable player”.

After watching the program Where Are We Going, Dad? I can’t help think of my parents. There’re also many unforgettable memory between us. One Sunday ten years before, my dad and I went camping. He prepared all the equipment and taught me how to put up a tent, that for a boy of seven wasn’t easy. He guided me patient and thanked me for my work, making me to feel I was very helpful. I have worked from ages 17 to now（I am 60 this year）, and I’ve really enjoy my career in IT. One week after leave school, I started to work. Now I do feel that my work has shaped myself in many ways.
At some point soon, I will retire— and I am terrifying! I have no idea that I will do with all that time or why I will do it. I am happy married and have a 21-year-old son. About eight years ago, I go to visit my grandfather during the summer holiday, who lived in a small village. One Saturday afternoon, my grandfather asked me climb a nearby mountain with him. At first, I ran fast, leaving my grandfather behind. However, about twenty minute later, I felt so tired that I stopped run and eventually chose to sit down for the rest. The other day, I was invited my friend Sam's home for dinner. I felt a bit surprised when I saw Bill there. It was two month since we two had quarreled, so I was embarrassing and didn't know how to do. I sat down on the sofa but began to watch TV. Later Sam came to ask I to make up with Bill. Until then I don't realize that Sam had arranged the meeting on purpose. I went up to Bill and greeted him warmly, smiled at him. He looked very happy and talked with me excited.
