I am Liu Ying, a high school student. Our school is built 50 years ago. It is very beautifully as you can find many of tall trees, flowers and green grass here. I am very proud of learn in such a school. However, it’s a pity that there is a lot of rubbishes at some corners. I think we can do anything. First, we must know the important of keeping the school clean. Beside, we should spend some time clean up every corner of the school every day. The Alaska earthquake of March 27, 1964 was one of the key event in the earth science. As it was a holiday, many people were in home. Everything was going on as usual while people’s houses began to shake. Buildings cracked and water pipes were burst. People were shocking by the unexpected disaster. The other day after work, I was walking down the street while I saw a boy riding a nice bicycle, one of those bicycle with only one wheel. Phoebe is from London and studies in our class as exchange student. She has been learning Chinese for the last three years, but she still fails in the final exam last week. Our teacher said she still had to learn for a lot in her new language, what made her very upset. See this, I tried to comfort her and gave her some suggestion on how to improve her language skills so she can get a good grade next time. She was so moving and had tears in her eyes. Late, I got a beautiful email from her where she expressed her thanks for my kind. I'm not sure exact what to write back but I felt very happy.

To show our love for poor kids live in mountainous areas, our school hold a special activity yesterday in our school square. Its purpose was to making sure that those poor kids would have a warm winter. It was in our school where all the teachers and students took a active part in this activity. We gave away 478 pieces of clothes and 256 pairs of shoe altogether. After be sorted, they will be sent to those in need. I believe what they did will make a great difference to the poor kids. Although we only did a little, but our headmaster spoke highly of us. We believe our world will be a wonderful place live in.

Passing exams are every student's dream. Fail them is their frightening dream. So, to realize our dreams, many students try anything. They even go to fortunetellers, buy lucky charms and follow lots of old custom. In Korea, many students bury something personal in the university they want to enter. They believed that those things are amazing and will “pull" them into the university. If it works or not, nobody real knows. At least it does ease the students' minds about passing exams. Remembering, though, you can't always rely luck. There is no substitute for a hard work.
