Our school hold an online English speech successfully on 21 April, which theme was To The World. Twenty students participated in them and four teachers were invited as judges.
A brief self-introduction video about the competitors was shown on the beginning of the competition. Then each of the competitor delivered a speech about how impressive achievements had been made in our country. Eventual, the competitors answered some questions raising by the judges. Li Hua was defeated all the other competitors, winning the first place.
The competition not only created an opportunity for students practice their English but also cheered up students staying at home.

Ten years ago, I was luck enough to have an opportunity to study in England as exchange student. I went to one of the most famous schools here. On the first day, I was such nervous that I felt my heart beating wildly. At first, I was too scared to open my mouth, because I have never communicated with strangers in English before. Therefore, my teacher said I had to introduce me in front of the class. As soon as I began talking, I felt relaxing immediately. I was happy about that I finally made it. For me, it’s a really special day, when I will never forget.

I visited Mountain Dragon with several classmate today. We arrived at the foot of Mountain Dragon on half past nine and spend nearly one hour in climbing. We could see flowers and grass all the way up and the air in the mountain smelt very freshly. We did not feel tiring at all. When we got to the top, and we were all wet with sweat. We sat under a tall tree to have rest, drinking some water and eating anything. There were several temples in the mountain. Monks (僧侣) in a temple was singing. We watched for a longer time because we had never seen this before. It was really a beautiful mountain.

With the life of senior high school approaching to an end, I have many memory flooding into my mind. I can still remember how unwillingly I was to get up early in order to get school on time. “If I had studied much hard before, I would have gone to a better senior high school,” I said it to myself. However, I later realized how much I loved a school.
The campus is beautiful. The Xinghu Lake, where lies at the side of a small hill, impresses me most. Surrounded green trees, I can admire various fishes. I often wander around the charming lake and see myself reflecting in its clean water. Walked in such attractive scenery, I get all the pressures released. The kind teachers and easy-going classmates also warm my heart and cheer me up when I am in low spirits.
Every time I recall my unforgettable moments, I smile. We’ve all grew over these three years.

Our school holds a special traditional culture exhibition hall on last month. Yesterday, I was lucky enough visit the exhibition hall, where is on the fourth floor in the laboratory building. There are varieties of objects represented Chinese traditional culture displayed in the hall, such as Chinese instruments, the “scholar’s four jewels” but different kinds of Chinese drawings. To be honest, I am amazed at the richnesses of Chinese traditional culture. I am pride of being a Chinese. I strong recommend you to pay a visit to the exhibition hall. The other day I received a very nice act of kind from another person. I was pulling up to park my car at a supermarket, but I didn’t notice that there was a car that have been there before me or was ready to park. I realized it after I got off my car. I apologized the man, but he insisted that I took the parking spot. There were no other free parking spots, what meant that he had to wait. He just waited for one to become available and then he was parked. He said that he was pleasing to have offered me the parking spot. He was so a generous and kind man that I would remember him for a longer time.

The Spring Festival, that falls on the first day of the first lunar month, is one of the most important festival. I’m very interesting in it, so I went to China last year to experience some traditions and customs. Usually, people decorate our houses with paper-cuttings and New Year paintings. Beside, people often have a big dinner with their family members in New Year’s Eve. For children, the most exciting moment is if when they get red pockets from the elders. Set off fireworks is also very exciting.

After the Tangshan earthquake, a story was told that a fox had saved a man’s life. The man worked at a power station. He liked fishing in its spare time. He usually keeps the fish he had caught in a tank. But these fish often were missing. Then he caught a fox when it was eating the fish. Instead punishing the fox, he let it go.
One night, the man was woken up by loudly noises outside. He went out and find the fox standing there. Surprisingly, it stood in the front of the man to prevent him from go back into the room. Sudden, a big earthquake happened but then the house was destroyed. It was the fox’s help which saved his life.

Yesterday, an uninvited friend fell from a sky. We all came out, only to find a big bird struggling in our yard. Though it was a young bird, but it had a huge size. People gather to see the strange bird. To our surprising, no one could tell its name. The bird seemed angrily and attacked whoever tried to get close for it. In addition, it refused to eat any food giving to it. Fearing that it would die, we called the animal protection center. Soon some worker arrived. “It only eats fish. And it protected by law,” they said. They told us its name, what was difficult to remember.
