One day, I was on my way back home while I saw a young man painting a picture on a tree. I felt very surprising, so I went up to see more clear. He told me that he was art student. Qi Baishi (1946-1957) was one of China’s great painter. He worked with wood during his early youth.Then between 1902 and 1909, he travelled across the country and painted many picures of scenery. His interest changed later simple pictures from everyday life, such as vegetables, flowers, birds, and insects. Cabbage is a well-known example of Qi’s works. The tiny insect near the cabbage has some red on it back. Its black eyes, which are fix on the cabbage, shows the creature’s interest in the vegetable. Three years ago I failed a important exam and become a student in an ordinary school. Although I felt disappointing at the shabby campus and the poorly-equipped classroom, but I found the teachers patient and considerate. Last weekend, all the students in my class go camping in the woods near our town. Several of our teachers joined us, too. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are importance to our study. Of the four skills, I think listening is the harder. I like watching English films and I can't understand them without the Chinese translation.
I am not satisfying with this situation, so last week I have a talk with my friend Wang Ting She told me some good way of improving listening. She suggested to using my iPad to listen English songs and learn English expressions. Besides, she said watching the news and interviews on CCTV 9 were also helpful. I will do as she advised. I’d like to give you some advices on how to learn Chinese well.
First, it was important to take a Chinese course, as you’ll be able to learn from the teacher and practicing with your fellow students. Then, it also help to watch TV and read books, newspapers and magazines in the Chinese whenever possible. It will make you familiar to Chinese characters and enlarge your vocabulary even before you notice it!
Besides, it is a good idea learn and sing Chinese songs, because by doing so you’ll learn and remember Chinese words more easy. You can also make more Chinese friends, who will tell me a lot about China and help you learn Chinese. Try to speak Chinese as many as possible.

Out of all the people I have met, my father is the most influential in my life. He has made an impact in me through both his word and his actions.
When I was very young, my father took an interest in which I did. In addition, he taught me to work hard. Once I took part in music competition, but I had to practice playing the piano for weeks and weeks. I became discouraging, but my father sits with me each evening and helped me learn my songs well. What’s more, my father has been influenced me by his example, work hard to do his best in everything.

When I was a young girl, I dreamed of becoming the scientist in future. However, I know very well that I would not success without efforts.
