To inspire us students to take exercise outdoor and build all of us up, so our school organized a sports meeting. Hundreds of students took active part. The meeting included various events designing for all students. Among them the 4×100m relay made the strongest impression for us. With great cheers, the athlete set out for the finishing line in high spirits. All the players presented our best performance during these events. Everyone felt happy with that they had gained from the activity. It not only teaches us the meaning of unity and let us true enjoy a colorful school life, but also promoted our friendship.

In order to carry forward the Lei Feng spirit, a series of activities was held by our School Student Union with a 60^th “Lei Feng Day” approaching. Our school held a flag-raising ceremony theme “Learn from Comrade Lei Feng” on Monday. Our headmaster appealed to us students strong to learn from Lei Feng, which devoted his spare time to helping the needy. Last week, aiming to enriched our school life, we students took part in an activity with the theme of “Getting to Know the Intangible Cultural Heritage Around Us”, organizing by the Student Union. The lecture was delivered a famous craftsman. He showed us what to make clay figures and displayed much of his art works, which were highly awarded. After the lecture, we made one under the guide of the master, from him whom we learnt much about cultural heritage. Last Sunday witnessed a friendly basketball game between students and teachers in our school with the aim of fueling students’ passion for sports as well as release their overwhelming pressure. Bathing in sunshine, players from Grade 3 competed with their teachers in the basketball court surrounded by the rest of the students, who were watching excited. Both teams were playing at their best in high spirit. Although the teachers took the lead in a game at first, the students did not lose their heart and tried to catch up with their opponents. The game was filled in great excitement and passion, and ends in a draw of 2:2. Not only the exciting game relieve the students’ intense stress, and their relationship with the teachers was also strengthened.

Last week, our school holds a Chinese classical music festival in the concert hall to promote Chinese traditional culture. All the students took part in of it.

During the festival, classics played by Chinese classical instrument, such as erhu and Chinese zither, were amazed. Among them, High Mountain or Flowing Water drew the most attention. Besides, that interested the students most was that an opportunity was providing to learn these instruments from some experts.

The festival turned out to be success. Having participated in it, all of we realized that we should be great responsible for inheriting and popularizing our traditional culture.

Last week, a group of foreign students come to our school to experience tea culture, which turned out to be great success.

Upon arrival, they couldn’t wait to visit the tea house, that a lot of tea sets were on display. Then, I made a vividly presentation on how to make tea, arouse their interest greatly. Many senior high school students have children’s book that they no longer need. Therefore, my school organize a book drive, with the purpose of donate books to disadvantaged families with young children last weekend. The activity lasted for a week and students in mine school were encouraged collect gently used children’s books from family members, friends and neighbors. I, along with other volunteers, were responsible for checking the donated books and packing them. In order to perform the task well, I had learned what to pack things from my father in the advance. Last weekend, our school held a cosplay opening ceremony. I was not selected to participate the cosplay. But I was still very happy to watch a ceremony. I arrived at the gymnasium 10 minute early. I found that cosplay players selecting from each class of the school were dressed up in their own costumes. There were some players were dressed up as movie characters such as the Fairy and Harry Potter. We also see some superheroes like Spiderman and Captain America. Their funny performances made us happily. The show was very interesting but we all enjoyed it. The only regret is whether the time is very short. All of us wished they could have lasted longer.

Several days before, my English teacher told us that there was going to have an English speech competition in our school. One student from each class would be selected for competition.
