When studied in elementary school, I talked to a better friend about volunteering. I was sorry to hear she has never volunteered before. More surprising, several days later I was told that opportunity to volunteer was not easy to get for other classmates either. Then I came up with an idea, this was to organize one volunteer opportunity a month at school. Other kids would make a difference through simple act of service if I could offer situations to teach them the importance of giving back. However, I presented my idea to our headmaster. Last Tuesday, the Students’ Union in our school advised that Senior Three students do something specially for their parents on their 18th birthdays. All the students are active in responding it and most of them have come up with their ideas. Some say this is meaningful to express their appreciations as well as love for their parents through a letter. Others prefer to cook a big meal to show that they’ve already been grown up.

For the purpose of reduced stress, a series of activities were held in the school playground in Mental Health Day this year. Students from three grade got involved in the activities actively. With the weather getting warm, last week our school’s annual sports meeting was held on as scheduled. The opening ceremony, in it each class performed a marvelous march, was splendid. Last Friday, our grade held a fun sports meeting, that aim was to relieve us senior three students from pressure. I, as well as my best friend, were asked to compete in the three-legged race.
The three-legged race required effective cooperation among teammates. Thus, during the days before the competition, we practised the game after the school.
Then came the big days. With my left foot and my friend’s right foot tying together, we set out fast as soon as our PE teacher blown his whistle. The playground was filled with our schoolmates cheers. A few minutes later, we tried hardly and crossed the finishing line quickly. Last Friday, our school held a activity about forest fire prevention. Over 500 teachers and students take part. I was elected as the screenwriter and a director of our group in an activity Reading and Acting out Classics. No soon had I arrived home than I throw myself into choosing a story. The famous novel A Dream of Red Mansions popped into their head. I read the whole novel attentively but devoted myself to adapt it. It took us a lot practice to perform it. May I have your attention please? We have something important to tell your. We are calling at the students in our school to visit the statue museum where is very famous in our city this Saturday.
