3 . Queen Bey is now the most-winning female artist, and the most-winning singer, in the 63-year history of the Grammy Awards. She earned 28 trophies (奖杯) including this year's wins for best music video for “Brown Skin Girl” and best rap performance for her “Savage” cooperation with Megan Thee Stallion. She walked into the show with nine nominations, more than anyone else this year.
“As an artist, I believe it's my job, and all of our jobs, to picture the era. It's been such a difficult time,” she said in her acceptance speech. “So I wanted to sing high praise for all the beautiful Black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world. This is so overwhelming.” she continued.
Beyonce's Grammy-grabbing music career has continued more than 20 years. Her new title puts her among the ranks of artists such as classical music conductor Sir Georg Solti, who has won 31 Grammy trophies and producer Quincy Jones, who also has 28 trophies. She behaved better than previous female record-holder bluegrass singer Alison Krauss, who holds 27 awards. While Beyonce doesn't even need two names to be recognized, she has many names and identities taking her to Grammy glory. As a young superstar with girl group Destiny's Child, she scored awards for “Say My Name” and “Survivor”. She played the legendary Etta James in the film “Cadillac Records”, landing her best traditional R&B performance for “At Last”.
She is the activist and historian telling the stories of Black people through her award-winning “Formation” music video and visual album “Lemonade”. She, with her husband Mr. Carter, put their love story on display with the album “Everything is Love”, and she is the director, producer, star of “Homecoming”. The combination of all these things makes her today's Grammy legend.

Hello, my name is Li Hua, and I’m here to talk about how music has changed my life.
Music is the greatest creation of mankind, as the lyrics and melodies convey whatever the artist was thinking and feeling. Just as the famous writer Hans Christian Andersen said, “Where words fail, music speaks.”

6 . Never underestimate Taylor Swift. The 31-year-old pop star will again make headlines this week when she launches Fearless (Taylor’s Version), a newly recorded take of the super successful album that led her to stardom. The project is an end of a multi-year battle in which Swift claims she was “stripped (剥夺) of her life’s work,” when her former music company, Big Machine, was sold to Swift’s sworn enemy. Scooter Braun.
Here is the backstory. In 2019, Braun bought the Big Machine Label Group, the music company that signed Swift as a teenager to her first recording contract and therefore gained ownership of her first six albums. Swift quickly went public to describe the sale as her “worst case scenario (最糟的情况),” as she told stories of how Braun bullied her through the years.
Swift didn’t sulk for long, though. She soon hatched a plan to regain control of her music by recording new masters of her old albums – beginning with Fearless. In doing so. Swift would now have new versions of the songs that fans loved. She could then encourage those fans to stream or buy those new versions instead of the old ones.
But there’s an even bigger lesson at play here. As a brilliant performer and song writer, Swift has a gift: She’s able to channel her feelings through her music, to touch others on an emotional level. But Swift’s talent extends far beyond that: She built one of the largest fan bases of all time by combining her musical genius with the ability to remain true and relatable to her fans: Swifties don’t see their hero as untouchable. They see her as one of them. She’s the girl next door, the best friend. And even now, after becoming a global superstar, Swift continues to strengthen that image when she surprises fans with private listening parties or graduation cards in the mail.
With Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Swift is making use of all of her emotional intelligence: Years of practice promoting her abilities to get in touch with her own emotions: and more importantly, years of trust built up with fans as she’s touched their emotions.

Today, breaking is beloved by fans around the world, but it all started in the 1970s in the New York City. According to hip-hop historians, a lot of the credit goes to DJ Kool Here, who had an idea that led to a pop culture breakthrough. When playing music at parties and dance clubs, this creative DJ used two turntables to mix sounds from two records.
Why? Kool Here used that technique to extend, the length of the break, which is a section of a song when most of the instruments drop out and the percussion (打击乐) continues. It's a good time for dancers to show their impressive moves. During Kool Here's lengthened breaks, some dancers came up with creative skilled moves, drawing inspiration from martial arts, to gymnastics.
The new dance style-breaking, caught on in New York. The dancers teamed up, forming crews that faced off in informal competitions. One at a time, breakers took turns showing off their stuff, and sometimes the audience judged, delivering their decisions via cheers and applause. While the performers went all out to upstage each other, an actual stage was not required — the battle could take place at a city park, party, or roller rink. While in today's formalized battles. dancers aren't just come to the formal stage to compete for bragging rights and street credits, but for official honors and cash prizes, which is decided by official judges.

9 . An international group of electronic music composers is taking beats from the dance club to jungles and forests and back, all to help save nature's greatest singers. A Guide to the Birdsong of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean is a new album that includes the sounds of endangered birds. The album will come out next month, whose proceeds will go directly towards efforts to save birds.
The whole project was born out of this idea of trying to combine birdsong, electronic music and conservation. A Guide to the Birdsong of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean was organized by activist, music producer, Robin Perkins. He invited artists from each of the endangered birds 'homelands to build their own songs around the birds’ songs. There are contributions from ten artists in eight different countries.
First single Black Catbird was created by The Garifuna Collective, from Belize. Al Obando, guitarist and producer of the group, always took in national parks and viewed birds when on the road with the band. “There are no trails, and there are no signs there to tell you about what you reseeing,” Obando says. “So we're trying to do something for the birds and nature tourism.”
Another musician who responded to Robin's call is Tamara Montenegro, an artist from Nicaragua. She was shocked to hear of the serious situation of the Guardabarranco after being approached: “This beautiful creature I grew up adoring also faced the influence of the systematic human activities”. In response, she created a song inspired by this bird and the challenges it faces to live naturally.
The new album is the second edition, following on from A Guide to the Birdsong of South America, produced by Robin in 2015. That first album has raised, to date, over $15,000 benefitting conservation projects in South America. As with the first album, all of the money from the sales of the new album will support specific organizations, including Birds Caribbean.
