The spine stands at the center of your health, providing your body with structure and support. It also contains your spine cord, a massive collection of nerves conveying electric signals from the rest of your body to your brain    1

Maintaining good posture( 姿势) is one of the most important things you can do to keep your spine healthy. Proper posture means standing or sitting while keeping your spine straight, except for its natural curves. Posture comes into play even when you are asleep. Strength exercises like pushups(俯卧撑) can also help by strengthening the muscles around your spine. However, don’t overdo the exercise, as repeated motions can strain the muscles around your spine.

Finally, your diet affects the health of your spine because many vitamins are necessary for bones and nerves. In particular, vitamins B and D are essential to keep bones healthy, so you may want to consider taking a supplement.    4    , so it is also helpful to do some of the back exercise outside.

There is no happiness class at school and everyone's definition (定义)of happiness is different. However, there are several key habits that you can develop to be happy people.

【推荐2】Children learn who they are and how to identify, value, and communicate needs and feelings through interactions with their parents.     1     Here are several key things to ensure your children grow into independent adults.

Allow freedom of information. One of the main characteristics of healthy families is freedom to express thoughts and observations.     2     For instance, forbidding mentioning of daddy’s drinking teaches children to be fearful and doubt themselves. Children are naturally curious about everything. This is healthy and should be encouraged.

Accept your children’s feelings. Many clients tell me that they weren’t allowed to express anger, complain, feel sad or even get excited.     3     This becomes problematic in their adult relationships and can lead to depression. Allowing children to express their feelings provides a healthy outlet.

Respect your children’s boundaries. Respecting children’s thoughts and feelings is a way of respecting boundaries. Verbal abuse and attacks violate their boundaries, so does unwanted touch. Additionally, children’s property, space and privacy should be respected.     4

5     Children need a safe, predictable and fair environment. When rules and punishments are arbitrary or inconsistent, instead of learning from mistakes, children will become angry and anxious, and learn to distrust their parents. The best rules and punishments should relate to natural consequences of the wrong-doing, rather than mere physical punishments.

A.They learned to restrict their feelings.
B.Have reasonable, explicit, consistent rules and punishments.
C.Allow children appropriate responsibility and independence.
D.Secrets and no-talk rules are common in unhealthy families.
E.Thus, how you communicate with your children is significant.
F.Therefore, you can’t give them too much love and understanding.
G.Reading their mail or talking to their friends behind their back is off-limits.

【推荐3】Think about the last time you felt a negative emotion — like stress, anger, or frustration.     1     Was your mind cluttered (凌乱) with thoughts? Or was it paralyzed, unable to think?

The next time you find yourself in the middle of a very stressful time, or you feel angry or frustrated, stop. Whatever you’re doing, stop and sit for one minute.     2     Take the entire minute to do nothing else but feel that emotion.

If you feel you need to hold on to the emotion for a little longer, that is OK.     3     When you feel you’ve had enough of the emotion, ask yourself if you’re willing to carry that negativity with you for the rest of the day. If not, take a deep breath. As you do that, release all that negativity with your breath.

This exercise seems simple — almost too simple.     4     By allowing that negative emotion the space to be truly felt, you are dealing with the emotion rather than stuffing it down and trying not to feel it.     5     When you lose yourself in the emotion, and realize that it is only emotion, it loses its control. You can clear your head and proceed with your task. Try it. Next time you’re in the middle of a negative emotion, give yourself the space to feel the emotion and see what happens.

Remember to take the time you need to really immerse yourself in the emotion. Then, when you feel you’ve felt it enough, release it — really let go of it. You will be surprised at how quickly you can move on from a negative situation and get to what you really want to do!

A.Yet it is very effective.
B.This will remind you of the steps to the process.
C.Allow yourself another minute to feel the emotion.
D.What was going through your mind as you were undergoing that negativity?
E.While you’re sitting there, completely immerse yourself in the negative emotion.
F.Are you willing to keep holding on to this negative emotion as you go through the rest of the day?
G.You are actually taking away the power of the emotion by giving it the space and attention it needs.
