【推荐3】When you meet problems, who will you ask for help? Your parents, your teachers or your friends? Students in Peking University did a survey among 3, 000 middle school students. It says that students turn to different people for help in face of difficulties.

The result shows that 36% of the students ask their parents for help. They think parents have more experience. But sometimes parents ask questions directly. This makes them uncomfortable. Some students turn to their classmates or friends for help. Because they have more common topics and can understand each other well.

Some try to solve problems themselves. Some students think it is free to talk to Dr Know about problems. They choose to write to the newspaper and ask for help. The others just do nothing.

Here are some tips on asking for help. Share your problems. You should explain politely, quickly, and clearly when you need help. Then, if people are willing to give a hand, tell them directly what you need.

Watch and listen to your helper. You need to write down the advice on how to solve your problems.

Unhappiness won’t stay for a long time, so do not think problems will catch you all the time. Instead, try to ask somebody to help with problems and you will see the bright side.

These days, Jackson Tumbull, a student in Grade 7 at Lakeview Junior High School in Pickerington, US, says that he needs help because he can’t listen to the teachers carefully in class. And his classmate McKenna Burchett says he feels sad and he also needs help.

In their school, there is a room called SMART lab(实验室). It helps students have less stress (压力). “Everything around our kids will impact them, so sometimes they may feel good, but sometimes they may feel not so good, ”a school teacher said. “And in our SMART lab, these students can find a time to take a break, relax or have fun.”

In the lab, students usually spend about 20 minutes. And they can talk to friends or teachers, draw, listen to music and play games. All these things can help them have less stress and sadness. So they will be more focused and listen more carefully in class.

This year, the lab helps 383 students at the school out of its 1, 000 students. “There is always a place for us to go to and there we can find someone to talk with, ” one student said. “If you are afraid to talk to someone about how you feel, just go into the lab and speak to yourself.”

In a high school class, a teacher took out Switch (a game machine) and began to play games with the controller(控制器). The video of this event became popular quickly last month, and there were more than 2.7 million people to watch the video. The teacher’s name is Dakuan.

In order to have a lesson for his first-year students about the classic physic problem of “boat crossing the river”, he introduced Switch and the game “Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild”. When he took out a game machine from under the desk and connected the whiteboard, he could hear some students make surprised or excited voice. So when he began to play video games, he attracted(吸引) the students’ attention right now. After entering the game, he taught students the lesson how to swim across the river in the shortest time. Finally, swimming to the upper right(右上) took the shortest time. Many people in the Internet praised the teacher for his innovative teaching ways. Some people even were jealous(嫉妒) of these students who had such a good teacher. What’s more, some teachers and colleagues(同事) also watched the video to learn Dakhuan’s teaching ways online.

This is no ordinary button. One click and I have the power to erase a person from my life.

In late fall, I had around 400 friends on Facebook. Today, I have 134.

When Facebook first entered my life in 2005, I panicked（恐慌、担心） that my friend count was too low. I accepted and sent out friend requests without a second thought and soon accumulated 391 friends.

There is an appeal to being able to communicate with someone or just “thumbs(拨动手指) up” a photo rather than make real conversation.

“It’s comforting and it’s easy,” said Larry Rosen, a psychology professor at California State University, who studies the way people communicate online.“There’s a sense of belonging in it. It’s a sense of community in a generation where community has sort of (有点)disappeared.”

However, I don’t talk to half of these people in the online community. There are some I would avoid if I met them on the street.
