5 . I’m on the road a lot for my job and have seen a lot of accidents.
One day, I was heading to a far-away town. To get there, I had to take a busy road that had a lot of blind curves (弯道) and hills. I made my way around a curve and down a hill when I saw a car in my lane (车道) suddenly move into the other lane. It caused (引起) the cars in the other lane to slam (猛踩) their brakes (刹车). In return, the cars behind them slammed their brakes as well. Still, some of the cars hit (撞击) each other and caused accidents on the road.
After a while, things were almost cleaned up. All the cars drove away. Still, I saw a big rock lying in the road. I thought I’d move it to stop similar (类似的) accidents from happening again.
And just as I got out of my car to pick it up, I saw a guy (小伙子) on the other side of the road running along the highway (公路) to pick up the same rock. I watched him put it in the bed of his truck (卡车). The rock wasn’t in his lane and he still picked it up.
I guess it was just nice to see someone else go out of their way to do something for other people, knowing he wouldn’t get a thank you.
So thanks man, whoever you are.

The old lady was worried, even though she noticed the smile on his face. Was he going to hurt her? “I’ll help you start your car, Madam. By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson,” he said.
While Anderson was fitting a spare tire(备胎)to her car. The lady began to talk to him. She thanked him much for coming to help.
