文章大意:本文主要讲述了为了改善学生的健康状况,减轻学生的压力,我国制定的一些规定。

1 . In order to improve students’ health and reduce students’ pressure, our country made some rules. Here are some of them.

Firstly, homework for middle school students should take no more than 90 minutes. Some students can still go to sleep on time even though they don’t finish their homework until bedtime. Then they will have more time to relax. Secondly, mobile phones mustn’t be brought to class because students are easily absent-minded (心不在焉的) from the lesson. Students must control the time on electronic products to protect their eyesight. They shouldn’t lose themselves in the Internet. Thirdly, students are expected to listen carefully and go over lessons in time so that they can master the right methods of learning. Fourthly, parents should often communicate with their children, pay attention to their feelings and help them develop good learning and life habits.

真题 名校
文章大意:本文是一篇说明文,介绍北京2022年冬奥会实现了绿色奥运的承诺,以及中国自主研发出了二氧化碳直接冷却技术。

2 . The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics was a great success. China has kept the promise to hold a green Olympics. Many green actions made it possible, like providing environmentally friendly smart beds, using new energy(能源) cars, supporting sporting places with 100% clean energy and reusing rain and snow water.

Take making ice as an example. China didn’t use R507, a common material to make ice, because it isn’t friendly enough to the environment. Through 18 months’ hard work, China independently developed the CO₂ direct cooling technology.

A net of tubes runs under the ice. High-pressure liquid(液态) CO₂ goes through them to create heat(热) exchange. The CO₂ evaporates(蒸发) under the ice surface. The evaporation takes in heat and turns water on the surface into ice. And the CO₂ goes into another circle. This technology helps to make ice better and faster. And above all, it is much greener because there’s no new CO₂ produced. Among all the 15 ice sporting places in the Winter Olympics, 7 used the CO₂ direct cooling technology to make ice. As a result, much less pollution was caused.

Beijing did so much more to save energy. Beijing built the new sporting places with green materials. As for the old ones, Beijing used new glass walls to take the place of traditional walls to let more natural light in. 70% of the waste heat was also reused to keep warm and dry. And a large number of new energy cars were used at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics is the first to truly achieve carbon neutrality(碳中和), and it has set new standards in green technologies. Some newspapers say China has set an example for the world in environmental protection and green development.

1. How long did it take China to develop the CO₂ direct cooling technology?
A.18 months.B.100 weeks.C.15 days.D.7 years.
2. The writer writes Para. 3 to show ________.
A.why the CO₂ goes into another circle
B.how the new ice-making technology helped

A.all the buildings will be built with glass walls in the near future
B.the CO₂ direct cooling technology may be widely used in the world
C.the high-pressure liquid CO₂ will totally take the place of R507 soon
D.no new standards in green technologies may be set after the Olympics
4. Which of the following can be the best title for the passage?
A.A New Green Ice-making Technology

文章大意:本文介绍了飓风的特点、类别、危害以及如何避免飓风的安全建议。
7 . 阅读短文完成表格。

You may already know that hurricanes (飓风) are storms which can cause strong waves, wind and rain. They happen during Hurricane Season, which is from June 1st to November 30th in the Atlantic Ocean and from May 15th to November 30th in the Pacific Ocean.

There are five categories (级别) of hurricanes, which depends on the wind speed. The categories help people know how much damage (危害) a hurricane may cause because the greater the wind speed, the more dangerous the storm. For example, a Category 5 hurricane has winds over 155 miles per hour, which are so strong that it can pull down the buildings along the way completely.

When a hurricane happens together with heavy rainfall, there can be a terrible flood (洪水). The center of a hurricane is called the eye. While most of a hurricane has dangerously strong winds, the eye is actually a calm area in the storm. When the eye of a hurricane passed over land, people might think that it’s over, but before long there would be more wind and rain as the second part of the hurricane moves through.

There is no way to stop a hurricane or make it change its way, so if you find yourself in the path (路线) of a hurricane, be sure to remember the following safety advice.

*Be sure you have a radio, fresh drinking water and enough food.

*Tell family members your emergency (紧急情况) plans. Tell them where you will go if you need to leave your home.

*If you live near the ocean, leave your home and travel to a safe place. You could stay in a hotel or in an emergency living area.

*Stay inside during the storm. You could get seriously hurt if you go outside.

8 . There are many reasons to enjoy drinking tea. However, you should let the hot tea cool down a little before you drink it. Why? A new study published (出版) in the International Journal of Cancer gives the answer.

“Many people enjoy drinking tea, coffee and other hot drinks. However, according to our report, drinking very hot tea can increase the risk of esophageal cancer (食道癌), so you’d better wait until hot drinks cool down before drinking.” the lead writer of the study, Dr Farhad Islami of the American Cancer Society, said. For the study, Islami and his team followed more than 50, 000 people aged between 40 and 75 years old. They found 317 of those people had esophageal cancer.

The National Cancer Institute reported that about 17, 290 Americans had esophageal cancer in a year, and that only about 19 percent of sick people survived. However, five years later, they died.

The scientists found that drinking 700ml drinks (about 3 cups) every day or more at a higher temperature (140°F or hotter) would have a 90 percent higher risk of esophageal cancer, compared with people drinking the same amount (数量) at a temperature below 140°F.

9 . Is there a connection between music and language? According to recent studies, the answer is yes. Here are two examples.

Music and hearing

A study from Northwestern University shows that playing a musical instrument can improve a person’s hearing. As a part of the study, two groups of people listened to a person talking in a noisy room. The people in the first group were musicians, while those in the second group couldn’t play any musical instruments. The musicians could hear the talking more clearly.

“Musicians hear better,” says the leader of the study, Nina Kraus. “Because they learn to pay attention to some sounds. Think about violinists. When they play with the group, they hear their own instruments and many others, too. But they must listen closely to what they are playing, and ignore(忽略) the other sounds. In this way, musicians can play their music better.”
