Have you ever been to Hong Kong? Hong Kong is a beautiful place to travel. It lies in the southeastern part of China. She r    1     to our motherland in 1997. If you go to Hong Kong by air, you will arrive at Kai Tak Airport, because there was not enough land. This airport was build out into the sea. It is in the part of Hong Kong called Kowloon. Kowloon is one of the two big cities in Hong Kong. The other city is Hong Kong itself. It is on an i    2    . You can get there by ship or through a tunnel under the sea. Much of Hong Kong is farmland and mountains.

The population of Hong Kong is over six million. People from all over the w    3     travel to Hong Kong every year. You can watch horse racing or motor racing. Some places are quiet and beautiful. When you are hot and tired, there are small cool gardens to rest in. There are also a lot of buildings to live in. Hong Kong is also a good place for Chinese f    4    . I’m so excited. Guess what— it’s my Dad’s     1     (forty) birthday next week, so we’re going to London     2     (celebrate) it! Cool, eh?

On Thursday evening, we’re flying over     3     of taking the train because travelling by air is much     4     (comfortable). As soon as (一……就……) we     5     in London, we’ll go on a tour (旅行) of the city. We’ll take a trip on the River Thames, which divides (划分) the city into two parts. On the north coast of Brazil, scientists once found something very strange—lost penguins, far from home! The scientists did not     1     (unknown) why the penguins were lost. Perhaps a warm current (水流) took them north. But penguins cannot live for long in the warmer waters of the north. It was time     2     (save) the penguins.

But     3     (sad), some penguins were too sick to travel, and some were dying. The scientists took the healthy     4     (bird) and put them on a large airplane.
