My dance school has a float in our town’s parade (游行) every year. I was so exciting when I got been selected to be part of the special dance. The rehearsals (排练) did conflict to a few of my soccer games. However, their teacher said it’d be okay as soon as I practised the steps at home. Well, I should have practised hardly! We were right in middle of the routine, and I turned right while the rest of the class went left. My mess-up caused a whole row of dancer to knock over. I heard the whole town went silent as they watched!
I am interested at swimming very much. At first, I went swimming just to keep health. Now my dream was to swim for my country in the Olympics. Though practicing in the pool is very bored, but I still work very hard in order to realize my dream. Because my hard work, I have already come first in much important competitions. In the competitions, I’ve made a lot of friend and we’re very close. It’s much easier to have friends which are swimmers because they also have to get up early to practice like you and they understand this kind of life.

People are always asking me what I want to be when I grew up. My answers are difference from time to time — scientist, professor, political leader — so the theme remains the same. I want to be someone which makes a difference in the world. To be honest, I want change the way people think. Whatever I do it in life, I know there will have some people who disagree with my values. When this happens, I will think about what great people will do in your situation. That’s why I often spend time read books about the life stories of famous people. Yesterday was the four day of our end-of-year trip to Barcelona and we had the really wonderful day! My friend Chris and I go to see the BMX Big Air Final. The competition was really cool. The rider which won the gold medal was called Zack Warden and he was did a beautiful jump. We had seats nearby so we had a clear view of it. Lucky, Chris knew one of the competitors well, so they got to meet some of the riders after the competition! We even got the chance to talk to Zack Warden for a few minute. He was very friend to us! It was such a great day, so much fun! I can’t wait travel with Chris again!

I travelled to Lijiang in this summer vacation with my parents by plane．The fresh air brought me back to life before I got out of the plane．We first went to the Lijiang Ancient City, where they bought some interesting thing and had a good meal．On the second day, we go to the Yulong snowy mountain．It was my first time that I had seen the snow．I played with the snow happy with my parents．I told that Yulong snow mountain was such famous a place in China that many people came here every year．I was tired but exciting throughout this trip, looking forward to visit Lijiang again!

Last term, I hosted an exchange student naming Jacob from the Great Britain to our school. He really cares for Chinese Culture. Jacob asked me to show himself around the city on weekends. I took him to many local place of interest and we also go to the theater to watch a show of Peking Opera. He was so attracted by the performance as he decided to learn it. My father happened to know a master of Peking Opera and introduced Jacob to him. Jacob was great honored to be one of his students. Put his heart into it, Jacob made a rapid progress. When he returned England, he gave a performance, for what he won much admiration from his classmates.

This summer holiday I went to Gansu with my friends. We were very excited because our one stop was the Mogao Caves. Attracting by the wonderful desert around the Caves, we took a lot of pictures on our arrive. Once in the Caves, the guide introduced the wall paintings to me in vivid details. We listened attentively and asked much questions and took a lot of notes.
Ride camels along the Silk Road was another exciting things during our trip. On the Camel’s back I couldn’t help wondering the ancient businessmen felt lonely along the wild Silk Road. In the end, we took a group photo and to memorize the visit.
The summer holiday is over now, but I still wanted to see more sites along the Silk Road.
