When I was in high school, most of my friend had bicycles. I hoped I could also have it. One day I saw a second-hand bicycle, that was only one hundred yuan. I asked my father the money. But he said he could only give me half of the money. He should find the other half myself. So I went to sell newspapers after the school. My father was pleased if I showed him the money a month after. He gives me the other fifty. You can imagine how happily I was when I rode to school on my own bicycle.

It was raining light when I got up yesterday. After a quick breakfast, I took that my mother prepared for my lunch and went to school in a hurry. It was fifteen minutes after school began. I was running quickly when I see an old man walking slowly in the rain. I stopped, wondered whether to help him or not, as I might be late for school. Then I made a decision walk him home. About ten minutes late, we arrived at his house. He thanked for me again and again. I smiled and said it was nothing. I was late when I got to school. Hearing my story, the head teacher, that was giving his lecture, praised me before all the student.

During the summer holiday, my parents and I paid a visit to my grandparents by a train. There was a large number of people and the train was crowded, but everyone helped those who had lots of baggages and behaved politely. Along the way, we enjoyed beautifully views. At first, we see one hill after another. Then what came into view were fields with green crops. After a six-hour trip, we arrived my grandparents' house. Exhausted (精疲力竭) although I felt, I was happy to see my grandparents, whom I haven't seen for a long time. It's really an exited trip because it was the first time which I had taken so a long-distance train.

Perhaps every mother is willing to give her children enough love. A mother’s love inspires her children to overcome difficulties, make progresses and remain healthy. However, too much love can also have a badly effect on children. Out of love, my mother used not to let me to do anything—she actually does all the things around the house. But now she’s starting to ask me to do some housework because she found that it caused me to being lazy and even kept me mastering living skills.

In my opinion, we should do some things by themselves. We should also help our mothers do as many housework as possible. Always fighting hard to become stronger and pay back our mothers love.

There are many respectable people around us. As for me, my father is the one I respect him. He is a doctor and always takes a positively attitude towards life.

There are various reasons that I admire him. As a doctor, he is devoted to his job, saying “Nothing is more important than saving a life, whenever difficult it is.” Two years ago, he volunteered to go to Wuhan, determining to help those suffering from COVID-19, despite the risk of being infected, which made me promote the understanding of brave and responsibility. As a father, not only does he care about my life, also inspires me to set the high aim and strive for it. Without his encouragement, I couldn’t have made so much progresses.

Such is my father, a great man who set a good example for me and I love him a great deal.

The other day our school carry out a survey about how the youth would choose between careers and families. Here is the result. There is about 26 percent of the surveyed students assuming the youth should focus on careers with the aim of living independently and achieve their goals. Therefore, about a third of the students hold a different view. They think that in spite the importance of one’s enterprise, the company and warm of families are the most crucial things. The rest of the students support the opinion which there should be a properly balance. In the summary, I argue that not only should we work hard, but we are supposing to devote some time to our family members.
