In the afternoon of May 20th, a charity sale activity held on our school playground. In order to organize a meaningful activity, we made fully preparations. Although it was a hard work, students take an active part in it. Some students brought various book, daily necessities, and others offered to design posters for the sale. The activity was a great success. The money raising from the activity would be donated to Project Hope. We may not have enough money or things to donation, but we all should take part in this kind of activity and do something to help others. Li Jin is my classmate and she is also my best friend. Every time when I think of the relay race, I cannot help be moved by her courage and enthusiasm. Li Jin and I participated a relay race held by our school. During the race, she accidental fell down. What's worst, she injured her leg or couldn't stop bleeding. To everyone's surprised, she struggled to her feet and continues running to the finish line. Everyone was moved by her will. Since I entered our school, I enjoyed a lot of after-school activities, among that the volleyball match is the most impressive one. It was held on the school playground. Last weekend my classmates and I took part a voluntary activity in the community, which is actually organized by our school. As planned, they met at 9 on the Saturday morning at the school gate. When we arrived, we first went to the old people home in which we told stories but put on a talent show. What’s more, we visited some sick kid and gave them some gifts, what I thought could encourage them a lot. Finally, we helped to cleaning up the city parks so that people could have a clean and beautiful environment. How meaningfully it was!

This summer, I attended a journalism-themed summer camp, where I learn a lot.
What impressed me most was the interviews carrying out in the street. In the beginning, I wasn’t used to talk to strangers. But with my teammates encouragement, I was able to communicate smooth with them. Then we were noticed most of the answers we got were brief. After a discussion, my teammates and I realized that was why our questions weren’t open-ended enough. So we changed their questions and our interviewees were more willing to share their ideas with us in end.
From this experience I’ve gained several skill for interviewing people as a journalist.

Last Sunday I went to a animal hospital to help the doctors there. I arrived at the hospital early in the morning. And there were already much work to do: giving the pets food and water, and even giving them kisses on the heads.
At first, they looked at me with frightening eyes. A doctor says to them, "Don't worry, and everything will be OK." I washed a dog's hurt leg. I worked careful to make sure I didn't hurt him. I wished he could know we were just trying help him. It was a long day and the work made me tired, and I was very happy. I knew I loved animal. And the animals knew I loved him. They enjoyed about my care with love!
