First, I had to think very carefully about what courses I wanted to take. The school adviser helped me choose the suit ones: maths, English, chemistry, world history, and Chinese. My adviser recommended that I should sign up for advanced literature because I like English and I’m good at it.
I had to choose extra-curricular activity, too. I tried to join the school football team, but the coach told me that I didn’t play well enough. Obvious, I was unhappy, but I won’t quit. I’ll find a way improve on my own so that I can make the team next year.
I know I’ll have to study harder as a senior high school student and get use to being responsible for a lot more. I’m a bit worried about keep up with the other students in my advanced courses.

As freshman in senior high school, I am sometimes confusing and anxious. Not all subjects are suit for me and I prefer some subjects for the others. For example, I can speak English fluent while I can’t improve my maths even if I put extra efforts into it. Though attracting to literature, but I can’t focus my attention on chemistry classes. Beside, I am so busy to sign up for extra-curricular activities. Can you give me some advices?
I am delighted to hear from you but feel excited about your intention of studying at a university in China. You are warm welcome! Peking University is at the top of my recommendation list. It’s appealing to students at home and abroad because its high academic level and rich cultural diversity. So it had been my ideal university, for that I have worked hard for many years. To be frank, study for a degree in a different country isn’t easy. You had better to equip yourself with some basic Chinese language skills apart from some important knowledges about Chinese customs.Of course my wonderful academic ability is a must as well. Let’s work hard together and hope to meeting you there.

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I’ll be able to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can’t accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard work. Beside, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn’t be forbidden to watch TV.

One of my unforgettable memory of my school in Xinjiang is that of lunches we brought from our homes. I hold my lunch-box in my hand when I was going to school. The smell from it was very good. Since the lunch bell finally rang, my friends or I met under a tall tree and had our lunches. My best friend Aigulie was used to share her Nang with me. Nang is a specially kind of bread in Xinjiang. I think over her a lot and I miss the food and the good time we had together.

When I was a child, I hoped to live in the city. I think I would be happy there. Now I am living in a city, but I miss my home in countryside. There the air is clean or the mountains are green. Unfortunately, on the development of industrialization, the environment has been polluted. Lots of studies have been shown that global warming has already become a very seriously problem. The airs we breathe in is getting dirty and dirtier. Much rare animals are dying out. We must find ways to protect your environment. If we fail to do so, we’ll live to regret it.
