2 . Many things can cause driving accidents. You can’t control all of them, but the following steps (步骤) can help you cut down on the number of accidents while you are driving.

First, look where you’re going. By doing this, you can see if the road is clear.

Second, keep as much space as you can between your car and other cars. This is your Zone (区域) of safety. If you are driving at a speed of 10 miles (英里) an hour, it is wise to leave at least one car length (长度) between your car and the car in front of you. In heavy traffic, it is difficult to leave that much space between cars. But you should try to keep enough distance (距离) between your car and the car in front of you.

Third, before you change roads, turn your head around all the time to see everything around you.

Fourth, be careful in bad weather. Always turn on your headlights (车头灯) as this not only helps you to see other cars but also helps them to see you.

Finally, be polite all the time. Even if (即使) some drivers make you angry, don’t shout at them. You may never see them again in the future.

3 . It’s hard to make friends if you stay at home alone all the time. Get out of the house and do things that will put you in touch with other people. It’s easier to make friends when you have the same interests.

Don’t be afraid to show people what you are really good at. Talk about the things you like and do best. People will be interested in you if there is something interesting about you.

Look at people in the eyes when you talk to them. That way, they will find it easier to talk to you. If don’t, people may think you are not interested in them and may stop being interested in you.

Be a good listener. Let people talk about themselves before talking about “me, me, me”. Ask lots of questions. Show interest in their answers. Try to make friends with the kind of people you really like—not just with those who are easy to meet.

Be friendly with a lot of people. If so, you will have a bigger group of people to choose from and have more chances to make friends.

5 . Recently, China has announced the list of the first five national parks. Each of them is divided into two parts—the core（核心）protection area and the general control area. In the core protection area, only research and surveillance（监视）in science are allowed. And the general control area is open to the public, allowing travel activities such as camping and hiking. In the future, national parks are expected to be natural classrooms. People can learn about different kinds of animals and plants through eco-friendly travel activities.

Three River-Source National Park on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the largest national park in China. Because it is home to the sources of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers, people call it “China’s water tower”.

Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park is in Heilongjiang and Jilin Provinces. It covers an area of 14,100 square kilometres. It is our country’s biggest and only place for wild Siberian tigers and Amur leopards to live in.

Wuyi Mountain National Park in Fujian Province is a UNESCO natural and cultural heritage site（遗址）. The forest makes up over 96 percent of the park. The park is the paradise of birds, kingdom of snakes and world of insects. You can also see the Danxia landform（地貌）there.

Giant Panda National Park connects panda habitats（栖息地）in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu Provinces. Inside the park are more than 1,600 wild giant pandas. They make up over 70 percent of the pandas in China.

Hainan Tropical Rain forest National Park is the largest tropical forest in China. There are more than 400 kinds of plants that can only be found in Hainan.

Shortly after the Shenzhou ⅩⅢ crew returned to Earth in April, the door of Tiangong space station opened again! On June 5, it welcomed another three Chinese astronauts—Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe.

This is China’s Shenzhou ⅩⅣ mission, the ninth manned spaceflight for China. The astronauts will stay 400 kilometers above the Earth for six months. During the Shenzhou ⅩⅢ mission on Tiangong, astronauts tested many key technologies. This was to help the proper “working team” the Shenzhou ⅩⅣ crew, to complete the building of Tiangong. The crew have a busy schedule. They will work with ground controllers to connect the Wentian and Mengtian spacelabswith the Tianhe core module（核心舱）. Wentian will be launched（发射）in July and Mengtian in October. Astronauts will use a robotic arm to move the labs to their final position.

The crew will also enter the two space labs for the first time. They will install equipment （安装仪器）and do scientific experiments. They will also do two to three spacewalks. We can also look forward to fun lectures given by the astronauts! When their mission is completed around the end of this year, the Tiangong space station will become fully operational. The crew will meet another three astronauts from the Shenzhou ⅩⅤ mission. The six astronauts will work together for five to 10 days inside Tiangong, before the Shenzhou ⅩⅣ crew fly back to Earth in December.

The Tiangong space station is expected to serve for up to 15 years, officials said, noting that it will also be open to foreign astronauts.

Could you imagine being in a car driven by a computer, not a human? Recently, China has made a big step toward self-driving cars.

Since August, driverless taxis can run on roads in Wuhan, Chongqing and Shenzhen. Self-driving cars give us many benefits (好处). They use computers to sense the things around them and make better use of space. This means fewer traffic jams (堵塞) and better parking of cars. For disabled or blind people, self-driving cars can also help them get around more easily.

According to US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 1.35 million people are killed on roads around the world every year. Many more are injured. Self-driving cars could reduce road accidents by 90 percent and save governments a lot of money, said the website TechDim. The main cause of car accidents is human mistakes. By using computers, self-driving cars don’t make poor decisions or lose attention like humans do.

But self-driving cars aren’t perfect. If something unexpected on the road happens, self-driving cars can’t react (反应) as fast as a human driver could. Also, during weather events like heavy snow, self-driving cars would struggle (费力) to see the lines on the road. It might lead to an accident. The car’s computer system could also get hacked (非法入侵) by someone, causing it to crash or change its destination (目的地).

It’s clear that there is a lot of work to do to make self-driving cars a common and safe sight on our roads. And China is taking the lead in making this happen, said China Daily.

Through “stove-boiled” tea, people can taste a slower and more comfortable life and find their inner(内心的) peace. As is written in one Xiaohongshu post, “It is very relaxing to drink hot tea, feel the wind and chat with best friends.”

Rabbit is the fourth of the 12 Chinese zodiac(parts, in the order of Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig). It is the Year of the Rabbit this year. Because rabbits are gentle and smart, they are very popular with people from all over the world.

In China, rabbits are considered to be a lucky sign. That’s because rabbits can have many babies in the nature, even in terrible conditions. In the past, people thought the more children they had, the better their life would be.

The rabbit can make people think of the moon. Ancient Chinese people believed a rabbit was living on the moon. It is called the Moon Rabbit and helps Chang’e, a goddess who is widely known in China, to make medicine.
