1 . Have you ever wondered why you choose a certain place to sit in a new classroom, in a waiting room or on a bus? Here are some interesting facts.
Certainly, girls sit by girls and boys sit by boys. Old people sit together and young people choose another young person to sit near. But it goes further than this. We even choose to sit near someone who looks like us. People with glasses would sit near other people with glasses. People with long hair sit closer to those with long hair.
Most of us are afraid to walk out of our comfort zones (舒适区). We seem to believe that people with similar habits or hobbies share similar ideas about life. And they will accept each other more easily. Sometimes that’s true but it’s not good if we only hang out with the same people, the same group. How can we ever break the barriers which stop us from getting to know people with different ideas? We might lose the chance to learn something new, find out about interesting things, hear funny stories and see differently.
Move out of your comfort zone. Go and sit next to someone different. And don’t just sit there without saying a word. Say hello. Ask a question. Start a small talk. That’s how we make friends. That’s how we learn about people. That’s how we open our minds to new ideas. That’s how we live an exciting life.

Some programs help children to understand the news, and others show people and places from other countries or other time in history. 5 . Do you find it difficult to put down your mobile phone? If yes, you are not alone. These days, many people can’t live without their phones. They reach for them as soon as they wake up in the morning. They keep checking their apps, such as QQ and Wechat, to get the latest news.
It may be difficult for these people to give up the bad habit, so Google developed an app called Dashboard to help them. This app helps users manage the time they spend on their phones.
First, Dashboard allows the users to look at their phone habits. For example, users can see how many times they have unlocked their phones, how many times they have checked their apps, and how much time they spend on each app each day. Once the users see this information, they will be able to make some changes. They can set a time limit(限制) for how long they can use each app every day. After they’ve hit the limit, they won’t be able to use the app until the next day. What’s more, Dashboard can help keep the phones silent when users put their phones face down, so they will use the phones less. If you truly want to make full use of your free time instead of spending hours using your smartphone, this new app is just a good choice. After all, controlling yourself and having a strong will can help you most.

And they are a kind of trouble for communication between the Chinese and foreigners,” a Beijinger said.

I and many other people in Britain love charity (慈善) shops because we can find them on every street. The charity shops sell all kinds of things and they are very cheap.
The first charity shop was opened by Oxfam in 1947. Now there are over 7,000 charity shops in the UK. My favorite charity shop in my hometown is the Red Cross Shop. There I always find children’s books, all 10 to 20 pence each. They are really cheap.
Most of the shop workers in charity shops are volunteers, though each shop has a manager and he gets some money. Every morning you see bags of things outside the shops. Some people bring and put them there without waiting for thanks. In fact, over 90% of the things in charity shops are from kind people.
3.All the money the shops get goes to charity work. Charity shops raise more than 110 million pounds every year. The money is for sick and poor children, homeless and disabled people, and many others. In a charity shop you can get cheap but nice things. You might even feel special while shopping.
4. If possible, let’s do something for charity together.
