When I was a child, I dreamed of go to one of the city’s five best high school. The admission was based only in a student’s performance in a single test. After spending several years struggled to keep up with my classmates, I was final able to meet my academic potential when I change my school. At my new school, teachers were attentive. Some of us offered to tutor after class. It was an opportunity, of that I took full advantage. I was started receiving top scores and performing at the top of my class. As result, I did well in the admission test.

Environmental pollution does great harm to us. Tens of thousands of people die of disease caused by pollution. The area of desert in the world is growing and the weather is getting worst because the forest damage. The waste gas and liquid from factories have polluted air or rivers. Everyone is eager to get fresh air, pleasant weather and safe drunk water.
Luckily more and more people have realized what serious the problem is and they were trying their best to take measures to protect the environment. Last Tuesday, our class invited an old craftsman to teach us about how to make dough figurines.
When the craftsman came in the classroom, we gave him a warm welcome and two boys helped him for the tool box. First, he showed us the basic steps and skills of make dough figurines. We stood around him and watched attentive. Then we started to have try ourselves. The old man walked around or helped us patiently. Finally, we put the figurines we made on the table and take pictures with the old craftsman. Looking at the figurines, we were all very exciting.

One Sunday morning we go fishing on a lake. We took ours fishing poles and headed for the lake. As soon as we arrived, so we dropped the lines into the water. My swimming experience is extreme interesting. There was a time when I swim like a rock. This went on till one day that I was fishing with a friend of mine at nearby pond. I slipped into one. If my friend had not come to my rescue, I would have been drowned. Ever since then, I had come to know the importance of learning to swim. I decided to learn to swim. I didn’t attend to any training class but learned it all for myself. And now I have no difficulty swimming at all. Because the way I swim looks awkward (笨拙的), at least it can keep me floating. Last year I went to the seaside to spending my summer holiday with my family. We stayed there for about two week. The weather was much hotter than in my hometown, but I got used to it or felt not so bad. Every morning, I got up early than my parents and went for breakfast ahead of the time. During my last winter holiday, I went to countryside with my father to visit my grandparents. I find a big change there. The first time I went there, they were living in a small house with dogs, ducks, and another animals. Last winter when I went here again, they had a big separate house to raise dozens of chicken. They also had a small pond which they raised fish. My grandpa said last summer they earned quite a lot by sell the fish. I felt happily that their life had improved.
