Last Sunday, our school held a 5km cross-country running race, that attracted many enthusiastic participants, included both students and teachers.
The route went from our school gate to the foot of the South Mountain. About 200 students and 60 teachers participate in the race, which began 9: 00 am and lasted about an hour. The whole course was extreme difficult. However, no participants gave up halfway. All the racers are held on to the finish line.
As the activity was challenging, everyone enjoyed it but benefited a lot from it. Therefore, we both think highly of it, and expect more activity like this in the future.

It is reported that 1 out of 3 school child doesn’t have the needed supplies support their learning. To collect school supplies for the needy students, my friends and me organized a charity action in our school on last Sunday. I lay some tables in the playground, where the students involving in it could put their donations. Eventual, forty backpacks filled with school supplies was donated to the needy children. Meantime, we collected two boxes of school supplies for teachers with the total value of approximately $1,100. It’s amazing that we can accomplish when we work together!

Last year, with Christmas approached, my sisters and I felt quite thrilled. However, one day after Christmas, my father gathered us together. He told us he can’t afford any presents, even our traditional treat. As the oldest child, I felt upset and understandable. It kept we entertained. I will never forget the two kind neighbors who have always been inspiring me to share anything with those in need.

Football is my favorite sport. I usual play football with my friends after school and join competitions. I have benefited a lot from play football. It helps me keep health and provides me with a way to relax me during stressful school days. Beside, I’ve become braver when facing challenges. It also teaches me good teamwork is the key to success and it has been brought me many friends with a same interest. I was a member of a tennis team in our school. One day, I saw a girl was not very friend to her partner, who I could tell were feeling upset and discouraged. See this, I went to the store without the hesitation, purchasing her a cute tennis cap and a chocolate bar. I wrote her in a note, telling her what an awesome teammate but tennis player she was. The next day while she saw me at the door, she said thanks to me. She was so moving that she talked to me for about 45 minute. Hopefully, she felt good after that.

On our way to the theatre for a movie yesterday, a friend of me felt a bit low. I knew her day had been a bit challenged. Soon we had passed by some trees with beautiful fall colors but the sun was shining down on them. When I showed the breathtaking scene to her, her mood started to change quick. She was so keen about the colors that she took several picture. Smiles also appeared in her face. And she chatted with me happily for long time. Honestly speaking, this is a good reminder whether nature is always there to comforting us and lift our spirits.

Music is playing important part in our study and daily life. As we know, music can produce a lively and happily atmosphere. When I felt depressed, listening to music can cheer me up. Besides, after a whole days’ hard work, listening to music enables me to feel relaxing. What’s more, I can learn a lot by listen to music. However, if listening to music take up too much time, it may affect on our study. I don’t go in for loud popular music, that may disturb others.

I was sitting on a train to Shenzhen on the other day. During the journey the middle-aged man suddenly threw up, making those around him extreme upset. The lovely young lady, Miya, sitting near me stepped forward but started talking to him to make sure he was all right. They talked for about 10 minutes, during that time Miya showed such great cares towards that complete stranger. She calms him down and helped him come to the decision seek assistance. When it come to the role model around me, it’s nobody but Liu Wei. Liu Wei is my classmates, who is strong and independent. Honest speaking, he is from a poor family.
