I used to be a physician at a hospital. I often treated children who had poisoned by medicine with older family members. The children didn’t know the medicine was danger; they just knew it tasted sweetly. Children easily open the bottle what we now use in China.
Some days before, I talked about medicines with an American. He showed me a sort of plastic bottle. The design was quite simple and I’m sure our Chinese factories can produce these bottles. Last winter vacation, my parents and I went back to our hometown, where I spend my childhood. Walking slow in the quiet small town reminded me of the good old day. One day, a young man, whom couldn’t get back home, came into my office to ask for help. He said his mother was disabled. His phone had stolen with his wallet and he hadn’t contacted her for the past two days. However, his job was assessing housing applications, not provide money for travel. I asked him to wait outside unless I finished my work. After work I drove him all the way home. We arrive at his mother’s house at 10: 30p.m. She was in a wheelchair and she answered a door. I saw tears in her eye as she thanked for me. I just hoped that if my son experienced nothing similar, someone would be nicely enough to bring him home to me.
