The other day I happen to read an eighty-word passage about details. I found it prettily good.
One who wants to achieve great success should pay attentions to details. Sometimes it is the details in that determine our success, for it has a great impact on what we’re doing. We should form the habit of being careful, so a careful person rarely overlooks details. What’s more, we should learn to keep balance of quantity and quality. When facing with lots of work, the faster we do them, the more mistakes we usually make. In that case we are possible to neglect the details. So we should remember that quality comes first, without that quantity is of no importance.

Jenny, my cousin, joined Doctors Without Borders after graduating from a nursing school last year. Now she works as a volunteer in Kenya. The reason that she joined the organization is because she wants to help others and make a difference to others’ lives. Every day, she has a busy schedule, distributing food to hungry people, checks the health of babies and giving children shots to protecting them from diseases. In my letter, she says that she is trying to adapt to the rough conditions there. That my cousin is doing has been had a great influence on me. I have now joined my school volunteer team and I went to the city hospital to help the patients with my classmates every Sunday. I feel happily because I can do something to help those are in need.

Yesterday, another student and I went to the Capital International Airport to meet this year international students. The first person to arrive was Tony Garcia from Colombia, close followed by Julia Smith from Britain. After I met them and then introduced them each other, I was very surprised. Tony approached Julia, touching her shoulder and kissed her on her cheek! She stepped back was appearing surprised and put up her hands, as if in defend. I guessed that there was probably a major misunderstanding. Then as Akira from Japan and George from Canada were introduced, George reached his hand out to the Japanese student. Just at that moment, however, Akira bowed but his nose touched George’s moved hand. They all apologized — another cultural mistake!

Last Saturday, my family took a train trip to Guangzhou. The train was crowd and slow, but the scenery were just great! On the day we arrive, we visited several famous buildings. After that we had lunch in an Indian restaurant, which they didn’t use plates! We served the food on fresh leaves, and we ate with our hands. In the afternoon, we went for walk in the gardens with a great many of trees and flowers I’d never seen. Then, we did some shoppings in the town centre. It wasn’t that cheap, so there were a variety of nice things there. How a fantastic day!

Dear Mr. Chen,
I'm very delight to have you as our English teacher. As the world is becoming a global village, English is getting more and more important. Therefore, master English means we can see the world through a new window.
To be honesty my English is just OK. There are two mainly problems in my English study. First, I feel it difficult to learn words by the heart. Besides, I often feel nervous when spoken English. I'd appreciate if you could give me some good advices on how to memorize new words. Another suggestion is to give us more chance to practice speaking English in class. I'm certain that we can make much progress in English under your help. I'm dreaming that you will be more than our English teacher.
Thank you.

When tea and coffee was first introduced to Europe in the 18th century, people thought they were harm. So the king of Sweden decided to find out that this was true or not. It was happened that there were two brothers were in prison at the time. The king ordered one of them to drink tea every day and other coffee. Both of them have lived many years without any problem. At last the one who had to drink tea died on the age of 83 and the other lived even long. Because of this, Sweden is today one of the country where tea and coffee are drunk.

Dear Janice,
It’s been a month since I came to this new school and I really want share with you some problems. As I tell you last time, I made three new friend here. We’ve been spending a lot of time sing in karaoke bars. It’s been three Saturdays now and it really costs me many money. And I started to see this as a time-wasting activity! In fact, I don’t like to go anymore, so I’m afraid I’ll lose their friendship. How do you think I should do? If you are me, would you talk to him?
Please help with me and give me some advice.
Yours,
Grace

After a final examination, I got a letter from my best friend and his parents live on a farm. They invited me stay with them for several weeks. I was so excited that I could sleep all night. When I got to their home I was warm received. I lived in a big and nice room. I enjoy the life there very much. Every morning we got up early and walked at the farm where we could enjoy the fresh air or beautiful scenery. We gathered some flowers here and there, and I found it filled of funs. In the afternoon we did our homework. I did have a good time.
