A second language is preferred as many of our customers are tourists from other countries. The positions are part-time and you need to work from Thursday to Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Fashion designer

Are you interested in the latest styles? Are you creative and good at art? If so, Dresswise is looking for a young person to create new looks for our teen department. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the clothing industry. You will need to work four days a week and we’ll pay you for each design we use. We’ll also give you samples of your designs to wear.

Game tester

Are you into technology and creative? Would you like to play and test educational games and get paid for it? This is an exciting part-time job for somebody who loves playing games. We offer flexible hours. If this is for you, write a description of your favorite game and why you like it in no more than 150 words.

2 . A Missouri woman is following in her father’s footsteps — training to be a heart surgeon — and recently, she and her father got the chance to perform surgery together.

Dr. Sophia Roberts, 30, is a general surgery resident physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Her dad, Dr. Harold Roberts Jr., 66, has been practicing medicine for the last 32 years. In May, Roberts and his daughter teamed up for an aortic valve (主动脉瓣) replacement.

“I told Sophia that I had this case coming and she went out and read about it. And she’d never seen it, much less assisted on it,” Harold Roberts recalled.

Even though the case was new to her, Sophia Roberts jumped at the chance. She had wanted to spend a month learning and operating with her surgeon father back in 2020, but their plans fell through for all kinds of reasons. So this was the shot she’d been waiting for.

When the day came, Harold Roberts was pleased to have his eldest child by his side and said it was a “really nice thing” to work together with her. The elder Roberts said his daughter helped open the patient’s chest and “she did a great job.” “It was really very smooth. I wouldn’t have done the case any better if I had another heart surgeon assisting me” he said.

Sophia Roberts, who served as her dad’s first assistant, said it was a memorable experience but also said once the surgery got underway, she was in the zone.

“It’s very special that I was operating with him, but quite frankly, I could have been operating with anyone — like all of a sudden, you’re just focused on that patient and making the operation go smoothly,” she said.

Harold and Sophia Roberts reported their patient has done great since the surgery and was even excited the father-daughter team would be taking care of her.

3 . Get up at 6 am, arrive at the hospital one hour earlier to help patients check in, and accompany patients during consultations… In recent years, “patient escorts” has emerged as a new industry, and those who have taken on this career are known as “people who sell time”, 26-year-old Zhang Tian is one of them.

September 4 was a lucky day for Zhang Tian. On this day, Zhang Tian saw a video about patient escorts on a short video platform. The daily routine of patient escorts shown in the video fascinated her and gradually inspired her to take this on as a business. She browsed through many platforms and read multiple information and found there indeed exists a certain demand for patient escorts, especially for the elderly, children, and pregnant women. Since she had never engaged in this kind of work before, she spent two days in major hospitals in Wuhan, in order to familiarize herself with all the departments on different floors, as well as the processes of medical consultation and preparation for surgery.

After preliminary preparatory (预备的) work, Zhang Tian posted a video of myself-introduction on major social platforms, talking about the help and services a patient escort provides, as well as some tips for a quick and convenient medical consultation. At first, she was a little worried that her video would go unnoticed. However, after she uploaded the video, it got over 100 likes and she received her first ever offer as a patient escort.

The memory of her first task is still alive and fresh in her mind. She received a phone call on September 9 from a man whose father was seriously ill and might need surgery. He wanted Zhang Tian to accompany his father through his consultation and treatment.” Zhang Tian made full preparations before meeting her first client and did a very good job despite her nervousness.

“Later, the family expressed their gratitude to me over and over again, which warmed my heart and gave me a sense of achievement.” Zhang Tian said.

4 . Here is a short article on the process of becoming a teacher in Wyoming.

Step 1：Complete a Teacher Preparation Program that has been approved

Educators must have at least a bachelor’s degree to teach in the United States. To be certified in the state of Wyoming, students must finish a state-credited teacher training program. Student teaching should be included in the Teacher Training Course. For further information, speak with your program’s advisor.

Completion of an authorized teacher preparation program is a requirement. Curriculum and field experiences are the two main components of teacher education programs. Instruction on teaching core skills, the science of teaching,and training students to research are often included in the curriculum. Field observations and student teaching are common field experiences.

Step 2：Pass the Required Exams

Testing is required by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board based on license and subject. Teachers who want to get their primary license with certifications in Primary Education or Social Studies Composite must take the Praxis II tests. A career advisor

Career advisors help to lighten graduates’ load, often working at high schools, colleges or universities. In addition to consulting with students to help them make career decisions, the advisors also help students practice important job-seeking skills. Although some employers prefer applicants to have a master’s degree in counseling (咨询), not all require one. Pursuing a bachelor of psychology or counseling is a great place to start.

A nutritionist

As far as industries go, health care likely offers the most jobs that help people. Nutritionists work in hospitals, schools or nursing homes to help create meal plans to improve the health of their clients (客户). Along with a bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition, clinical nutrition or a related field, you’ll need to be licensed in most states.

A personal trainer

Personal trainers work with people of all ages to build custom fitness plans. Along with performing physical assessments and creating training programs, personal trainers also inspire their clients to stick to a plan so they achieve desired results. You should have a college diploma, along with an associate’s degree in a health or fitness field, and you will need to pass an exam to receive your license.

A special education teacher

A special school can be a place for students with emotional, behavioral or learning challenges. Special education teachers are there to teach them to reach their full potential. As a special education teacher, you should plan and teach lessons according to students’ specific needs and abilities. Special education teachers must have a bachelor’s degree and a state-issued certification.

7 . If you’re looking for a job full of fun, sunshine, horses and like-minded people, then this is the role for you! Teaching riding at camp in the USA is a great way to spend your summer. Riding programs differ from camp to camp. Some will be basic, such as hacking out (骑马溜达) and pony (矮种马) rides, whereas others will be much more advanced, including showjumping and competitions. All instructors will be required to ride at a decent standard and have some knowledge in horse care, but typically the more advanced your skills are, the more advanced program area you can expect to work in.

You can expect to teach all ages and abilities of riders whilst also maintaining the care of the horses, including mucking out (清理马厩), feeding, etc. Most camps will also do stable management lessons for the campers, so that they can truly understand what it takes to look after a horse, and not just learn to ride. Horse Riding Instructors are required to arrive before orientation in order to get the horses ready for the campers’ arrival.

    3     After understanding a bit more about yourself and your needs in a job, start looking for jobs that sound interesting or desirable to you. If there’s a job you don’t know much about, write it down and research it later. You may end up finding an interesting career path.

Research and narrow down your list. After you’ve explored jobs that seem interesting, start researching each one to create a short-list of serious career possibilities.     4    

Apply for jobs and prepare yourself for interviews. Once you've narrowed your list down to one or possibly two career paths, you'll need to apply for jobs and make preparations for the coming interviews.     5
