1 . Confidence is very important in our daily life. It can help you to develop a healthy attitude (态度). A study shows that the people who are more confident are much happier. They can have more chances to make themselves successful. But how to be more confident? Here are some suggestions:
Speak loud. When you are not confident, you can't do well what you want to do. You speak in a voice so low that other people can hardly hear you. Try to speak loud enough so that people can hear you clearly. The high voice can help you become more confident.
Play sports. Physical exercise makes you tired but completely relaxed. A strong body helps you be full of confidence.
Encourage yourself. Write down a list of things you did during the day to see how many things you have done well. Did you finish your homework? Did you tell a joke that made everybody laugh? Give yourself praise for the good things you have done. This is the best way to encourage yourself.
Pick up a hobby. If you like singing, sing as much as you can. In some ways, a hobby can make you outstanding. And it will make you happy and confident.

2 . Traveling is an exciting experience. It makes us feel pleased, and enjoy new wonders and new part of life that we’ve never known. A single holiday trip can give you the freedom and the chance to make changes that daily life does not allow. It matters little where you go on your holiday. It is all in what you make of it. Any travel can be interesting and attractive, and give you memories to last a lifetime.
Having those memories is truly what travels are all about. Many people say that a bit of a planning and research before you leave can make sure of those long-lasting memories. But why not try something unexpected? In fact, the most unforgettable moments of a travel experience are the ones that you don't plan for. Yes. Maybe you’ll experience a bad meal in an unfamiliar place. But this experience will make sure you discover little-known shops or an open-air theater production that is only advertised in the local paper.
You’ll find the enjoyable moments happening all around you: a wonderful sunset or a small child playing in the puddles of a cobble road. The magic will truly be in the trip you take. Take time to go for a long walk for enjoyment when visiting a new place, which will allow you to listen, smell, and see the different culture and sights that your busy life may stop you from enjoying.
Simple things such as a leaf from a tree you sat under can keep the memories of your travel alive for years to come. Collect small things such as leaves, stones, or feathers, which can be turned into memorable works of art when you get back home.

Digital money
We used to pay with paper money for everything we bought. In fact, we have already been using one type of digital money when we use a credit card(信用卡)to shop online.
You have to say that using a card is much easier than searching your pocket for money. It is also safer than carrying a lot of money on your own. People in Sweden completely stopped using paper money last year and the US might be the next.
Bionic(仿生的)eyes
People who are blind may have a chance to get their sight back by wearing bionic eyes. A blind eye can no longer sense light, but a bionic eye can use a camera to see the environment and send the information into the brain.
Although the bionic eyes now only allow patients to see lights and unclear shapes, clear ones could appear just a few years later.
Self-driving car
Unlike a human driver, a self-driving car won't be distracted(分神)by a phone call, the radio on something outside the window. Sensors(探测器)and cameras on the car would allow it to strictly obey the rules of the road and keep a safe distance from other cars. This would greatly reduce the number of road accidents. Many vehicle companies are now planning self-driving cars. By 2040, driverless vehicles will be the main vehicles on the road.

One day his rich grandpa said to him, "Mario, I bet you a big bag of popcorn. You don't have as many good friends as you think."
Mario accepted the bet. However, he wasn't sure how he could test whether or not his schoolmates were real friends, so he asked his grandpa.
“Take it. It's a very special chair. It's invisible, but if you take it to school and you try to sit on it, you'll be able to tell who your real friends are," said his grandpa. The old man seemed to carry something in his hands, but Mario could see nothing there.
Mario took the strange chair to school. At break time he told his friends to form a circle, and he put himself in the middle with his chair.
"Nobody moves. You're about to see something amazing. "
Mario tried sitting on the chair. But he missed and fell straight onto his backside. Everyone had a good laugh. He kept trying to sit on the chair, and kept falling to the ground…until, suddenly, he tried again and didn't fall. 7 . The Face-down Generation(一代)
If you were born in the 2000s, you are called the oh-ohs. The 21st century. That would make you young, creative, connected, world wide, and no doubt smart. Maybe good-looking, too. Right? But what do other people think about your generation?
Some adults worry that you’ re more interested in the screen in front of you than the world around you. They think of you as the “face-down generation” because you use your phone so much. They wonder how you will deal with school, friends, and family.
Other adults worry that today's youth are spoilt(溺爱)and don’t want to face the challenges of adult life. Many children born in the 1990s and 2000s were raised by “ helicopter parents”. They were always there to guide and help their children with a busy program filled with homework and afterschool activities such as dancing, drawing, or sports. With parents who do everything for them, today's youth seem to prefer to live like teenagers even when they are in their 20s or 30s.
Does the face-down generation need a heads-up? Well, probably not. The fact is that many of today's teenagers are better educated and more creative than past generations. They seem to be willing to become leaders. More young people than ever volunteer to help their communities. There are also brave young people such as Malala Yousafzai, the teenager who won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize for pushing girls'rightsto go to school.
So if you 're one of the oh-ohs, there’s reason to be hopeful about the future. Things are looking up for the face-down generation. Chances are that you do great and laugh out loud.

10 . Since July 2019, Shanghai has been the first city to sort their garbage. Starting on May 1st, 2020, Beijing also became one of the members by introducing a new garbage sorting policy. Green garbage has come to China.
In the past, people put a lot of garbage into one pile and then took the garbage to landfill sites. These landfill sites, however, could pollute the land and water. So, if we can find ways to reuse or recycle more garbage, then we will cause less pollution.
The new plan asks people to put their garbage into four different boxes, one for each type of garbage. The brown box is for “wet garbage” (such as food and drink waste). The red one is for harmful waste (such as batteries and electronics). The blue one is for recyclable things (such as paper and plastic). And finally, the black one is for “dry garbage” (everything else). This “sort your garbage” plan is the same as other plans used by cities around the world. These plans have been very successful. In Canada, it's expected that 85 %of plastic will be recycled by 2025.
Why should we sort our garbage? The reason is that we are producing increasing amount of waste every year. It's reported that Chinese cities produce over 200 million tons of waste each year. Reducing that amount will surely help the environment.
However, the garbage sorting is a long journey as it takes time for people to learn and form a habit. More cities are on their way. By 2025, it's hoped most Chinese cities will complete the building of garbage sorting.
