Last weekend has witnessed my active participation in the community service with my classmates, the theme of it was “Caring for the Elderly”. As scheduled, we arrived at the nursing home on the morning, where we helped mop the floor, dust the furniture and clean all the window there. After that, we made dumplings for the elderly, chat together happily.
Exhausted although I was, it was rewarding and meaning to see the smiles on their faces. Not only did I bring joy to them, but also I found confidence in keeping themselves company. It is the voluntary labor which enables me to understand what Chinese traditional virtues are. To be frank, I have benefited it greatly.

I love playing sports. After class, I played various sports with my friends, such as basketball, volleyball and badminton. In my view, playing sports is physical, mental and social adventure. Yesterday, a group of students from the UK visited our school art gallery, which they saw lots of Chinese paintings.
On arriving the gallery, the students were amazing at the unique gate. I had started the tour with a vivid introduction. Since they had all learned some Chinese, I explained everything in plainly Chinese. The students were deeply impressed by the works of students and teachers, but they couldn’t help shooting photo.
With their interest arousing, three of the British students drew one painting together and presented them to us.
The gallery witnessed a enjoyable time for all of us.

My mom is a housewife, and for as long I can remember, she has always been with me, never left me for a single day. However, my grandma was seriously ill last week and Mom had to leave for several days to looking after Grandma. It never occurred for me what my daily life would be like without Mom in the house. When she went back home after school, our home was a mess. With Dad always coming home later, I decided it was my turn to give the houses the look it ought to have. March 7 was a memorably day because I participated in Green Action hosted by the Students’ Union. We, along with my classmates, headed to the suburbs to plant trees in the morning. Upon arrival, we begun to work immediately. I was responsible for dig the holes. Some of my classmates were planting the seedlings or some were watering them. Then we put up a board to remind people protecting the trees. We took some photo to record this meaningful activity after we left. Seeing the lines of trees, I was filled with a sense of the achievement, for I did my part to protect and beautiful our environment.

I went hiking to a mountain with my friend last summer. It was a good trip in the beginning and something happened halfway. I’m very happy to have you as our English teacher.
Which is known to us all, mastering English mean we can see the world through a new window, but we are willing to learn it well.
My English is just OK and the two main problems are that I feel difficult to learn words by heart, and that I often feel nervously when speaking English. I really hope that you can give them more good advice on how to memorize new words. Another suggestion was to give us more chances to practise our speaking English. I believe we can make a great progress in English under your help.
