1 . It's hard when a best friend isn't around-maybe because he or she moved to a different school or a different class,or maybe he or she is just homesick for the day. You can feel lonely at break or lunchtime without him or her.
Start by looking around your classroom and think about which kids you'd like to play with at break. Look for chances to say "Hi" to them, smile, and be friendly.
If you have trouble doing this or if you're feeling shy,ask your teacher to help you make new friends. Teachers are usually pretty good at matching up friends.

Being responsible is actual not that difficult. I used to think it was hard to growing up into a responsible member of society. An incident happening in a rainy Sunday afternoon changed my attitude. I was on my way to the bookstore and was waiting for the green light while a girl was knocked down by passing car, which drove off quickly. A man immediately gave her first aid and I had joined in without hesitation. Soon many help was given to the girl. Because we sent her to the nearest hospitals in time, she was able to receive proper treatment. Not badly injured, he expressed gratitude to those giving help. Comparing with the escaped driver, I was proud of what I did.
4 . Getting to know other people is a typical activity in our daily lives. Even if you're good with people, there are likely times when you're stuck for something more to say and start wondering what topic to bring up next.
Talk about the other person.
The biggest secret to being a good conversationalist is simply allowing the other people to talk about themselves. Why?
Ask about work.
This one can be a little tricky because the conversation could end up sounding like a job interview. Still, if you can handle it carefully and keep it short and sweet, it can lead to an interesting discussion.
This is where it starts to get more personal. It’s up to you to carry on the conversation using these questions in a proper way. Do you play or follow any sports? What do you like to read? What kind of music do you like?
Ask about their travels.
Ask the person where they’ve been. Even if they have never left their hometown, they will likely be happy to talk about where they want to go. If you had a chance to move to any other country, which one would it be and why?
Know what to avoid.
You know the old rule: never talk about religion, politics, money, family problems, or women’s age with people you don’t know well.
A.Where did you go on your last vacation? |
B.Ask them what has happened in their life. |
C.Find out about their interests and hobbies. |
D.The risk of saying something rude is too high. |
E.Then how to come up with good conversation topics? |
F.It’s a subject they probably know well and feel comfortable with. |
G.You can't expect miracles to happen in the conversation with someone. |
I think honesty is a important part of life. Lack of honesty lead to all kinds of problem. For example, if you lie to your friends, you will have to work hard to win back his trust. And if you can't depend them to tell you the truth, then your friendship is unlikely to lasting.
Honesty at work is just as important. A person which doesn't value honesty is a bad partner. Most people work in teams and if you cannot trust a partner, the team would break down.
In a word, it is my belief that honesty in our life is very much important. Without it, our life would become great unpleasant.

8 . How to Deal with People Who Put You Down
It's not a good feeling when someone insults(侮辱)you.
1.Avoid reacting immediately.
When someone puts you down, deal with it by not immediately reacting to him. Getting angry will strengthen his behavior.
2.Understand why the person does it.
3.
The person's words are a reflection of himself, not of you. If he were a happy person,he would not spend so much time putting down other people around him. Also,he most likely does this to other people and not just you. If you let his put-downs get to you, then he wins. Don't allow what he said to make you feel bad about yourself.
4.Ask for support.
You should tell someone and ask for help if the person is putting you down all the time. Tell someone who is an authority figure like a teacher, parent,or supervisor if the person does this to you.

C.Using your support systems helps in many ways. |

One day, a young man, whom couldn’t get back home, came into my office to ask for help. He said his mother was disabled. His phone had stolen with his wallet and he hadn’t contacted her for the past two days. Therefore, my job was assessing housing applications, not provide money for travel. I asked him to wait outside unless I finished my work. After work I drove him all the way home. We arrive at his mother’s house at 10:30 p.m. She was in a wheelchair and she answered the door. I saw tears in her eye as she thanked for me. I just hoped that if my son experienced nothing similar, someone would be nicely enough to bring him home to me.
